Resilience 101
Six modules, delivered weekly
Resilience is the ability to bounce back from setbacks and hardship. In our signature Mindfulness Basics Course, learn about the six fundamental practices that support resilience.
Each week you’ll receive a new module introducing a new core resilience skill, as well as a resilience challenge for the week. Take as much time as you need to complete them! Our six weekly focus areas are:

- Week 5 - Physical wellbeing

A majority of female workers (53%) say their stress levels are higher than they were a year ago, and almost half feel burned out, according to a new report from Deloitte (source). Women overwhelmingly carry the burden of caregiving, and the mental load of managing their families and households. The logistics of keeping a life organized can be overwhelming: work schedules, school schedules, activities, sports, camps, meal planning, buying groceries, cooking, cleaning, organizing, remembering registrations, doctors and dentist appointments, vet visits, planning vacations and birthday parties, social and family visits. It feels like our workload chronically exceeds our capacity and we are constantly falling behind.
In this course, we’ll get a realistic assessment of the things taking up space in your life, and provide a practical framework for creating space for what really matters. Each week, you’ll develop and implement an experiment, building your confidence in trying different interventions to create space.
Each week, you’ll receive a new module, and design an intervention and experiment. The six modules we’ll be covering:
- Week 1 - Time Inventory & Introduction to the Four Levers
- Week 2 - Lever 1: Getting stuff off your plate
- Week 3 - Lever 2: Getting stuff to take less space on your plate
- Week 4 - Lever 3: Make the most out of the stuff on your plate
- Week 5 - Lever 4: Keep new stuff from getting on your plate
- Week 6 - Experiment Review & the path forward

In theory, we want to do it all: slay our careers, practice wonderful self care, develop personal interests and hobbies, spend meaningful time with family and friends, grow our skills and knowledge, and give back to our community. It sounds great, but so often we feel like we’re buckling under the pressure to do it all.
Minimum Viable Priorities are the clear expression of the essential elements that make your life feel successful, rewarding and worthwhile. They represent the minimum amount that you commit to doing, consistently, that you’ll celebrate as a success.
They are a powerful tool in combating overwhelm, and the ballooning expectations and responsibilities so many of us face. MVPs are an intentional practice in clearly defining what matters, and what is “enough”. They are also an act of self compassion, by creating expectations that are manageable and realistic.
So much of our goal setting tends to be of the aspirational, stretch-goal variety. It can be exhausting. What would it look like to set minimums instead of always aspiring to bold expectations? How might that be freeing? What space could that create in your life?
This course is intentionally compact, it’s a crash course in creating small, actionable priorities for yourself!

Goal Setting

In the past three years, feelings of overwhelm, burnout and languishing have spiked to an all time high, especially among working mothers. We have stretched ourselves to our limits to cover incremental responsibilities that were supposed to be temporary, only to be stuck juggling everything for longer than anyone can reasonably expect us to sustain. When we are spending our days reacting to the onslaught of obligations, our vision for our future can become really fuzzy. When’s the last time you asked yourself: What do you want your future to look and feel like? What are your goals? What habits and behaviors can you start cultivating now that will bring you closer to those aspirations?
Our Goal Setting course takes us through a six step process to bring your goals into more focus. “Setting goals are linked with higher motivation, self-esteem, self-confidence, and autonomy (Locke & Latham, 2006), and research has established a strong connection between goal-setting and success (Matthews, 2015).” source. But don’t worry, this isn’t about adding even more to your plate, it’s about getting more clarity on where you focus the energy you do have available so you are living with more intention and ease.
